QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- The willingness to work as a team member with a variety of individuals and take directions from supervisors.
- Basic skills appropriate to specific employment situations including acceptable communication patterns.
- Must be willing to attend specified training sessions as determined by the supervising Speech/Language Pathologist and/or administrative staff.
- Must have and maintain a dependable means of transportation.
- Ability to lift as required by job.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Must have, or be able to obtain, and maintain a valid Kansas Driver’s License.

JOB GOAL:
To enhance and maximize the responsibilities and scope of services of the supervising Speech/Language Pathologist. To provide training preparation, including work experience in school settings.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement evaluative or management programs and procedures that are planned and designed by the supervising Speech/Language Pathologist.
- Assist in screening speech, language, and/or hearing.
- Record, chart, graph, report, or otherwise display data relative to student performance.
- Assist the Speech/Language Pathologist in therapy activities, non-institutional activities, staffings, scheduling, and various clerical tasks.
- Prepare instructional materials.
- Monitor hearing aids and other equipment.
- Maintain a log of activities as directed to meet local, state, and/or federal guidelines.
- Perform any other duties as directed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Per “Memorandum of Employment Agreement”.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Executive Director and/or Designee as per board policy.
