QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- The willingness to work as a team member and communicate with a variety of individuals and take directions from supervisors.
- Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain good public relations.
- Ability to carry out instructions accurately.
- Possess proficiency in operating a computer and the appropriate software.
- Process general clerical skills, including proficiency in typing, filing, etc.
- Knowledge and ability to maintain confidentiality of personally identifiable information.
- Must have, or be able to obtain, and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license.
- Must have and maintain a dependable means of transportation.
- Ability to lift as required by job.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Aid in preparing special education budgets.
- Assist in preparation of federal, state, and local grant applications.
- Prepare special education state reports and end of year financial reports.
- Assist in locating records for state auditor on special projects, personnel lists, and other financial reports.
- Aid in developing suitable working relationships between other clerical staff.
- Prepare correspondence for Special Education Administration.
- Maintain adequate filing system of special education records.
- Obtain and keep schedules of special education personnel.
- Help with arrangements for special service in-services and other meetings.
- Help other office staff when time permits.
- Place and receive phone calls on behalf of Administration.
- Maintain personnel database in conjunction in the Business Office.
- Perform any other duties as directed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Five days per week, 8 hours per day for 12 months per year with terms as described in the "Memorandum of Employment Agreement." Available for meetings outside regular working hours.

Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Executive Director and/or Designee as per board policy.
