QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Degree desired not essential.
  2. The willingness to work as a team member and communicate with a variety of individuals and take directions from supervisors.
  3. Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain good public relations.
  4. Ability to carry out instructions accurately.
  5. Possess proficiency in operating a computer and the appropriate software.
  6. Process general clerical skills, including proficiency in typing, filing, etc.
  7. Knowledge and ability to maintain confidentiality of personally identifiable information.
  8. Must have, or be able to obtain, and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license.
  9. Must have and maintain a dependable means of transportation.
  10. Ability to lift as required by job.

REPORTS TO:

Executive Director

 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist in preparation of federal, state, and local grant applications.
  2. Prepare federal, state, and local reports and end of year financial reports.
  3. Develop knowledge and application skills for NKESC and USD data systems and the ability and knowledge to communicate grant data.
  4. Assist in locating records for state auditor on special projects, personnel lists, and other financial reports.
  5. Aid in developing suitable working relationships between other clerical staff.
  6. Prepare correspondence for grant staff.
  7. Maintain adequate filing system of grant records.
  8. Obtain and keep schedules of grant personnel.
  9. Help with arrangements for special in-services and other meetings.
  10. Place and receive phone calls on behalf of grant staff.
  11. Maintain personnel database in conjunction in the Business Office.
  12. Perform any other duties as directed.

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Five days per week, 8 hours per day for 12 months per year with terms as described in the "Memorandum of Employment Agreement."  Available for meetings outside regular working hours.

 

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Executive Director and/or Designee as per board policy.
