QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree desired not essential.
- The willingness to work as a team member and communicate with a variety of individuals and take directions from supervisors.
- Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain good public relations.
- Ability to carry out instructions accurately.
- Possess proficiency in operating a computer and the appropriate software.
- Process general clerical skills, including proficiency in typing, filing, etc.
- Knowledge and ability to maintain confidentiality of personally identifiable information.
- Must have, or be able to obtain, and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license.
- Must have and maintain a dependable means of transportation.
- Ability to lift as required by job.

REPORTS TO:
Executive Director
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in preparation of federal, state, and local grant applications.
- Prepare federal, state, and local reports and end of year financial reports.
- Develop knowledge and application skills for NKESC and USD data systems and the ability and knowledge to communicate grant data.
- Assist in locating records for state auditor on special projects, personnel lists, and other financial reports.
- Aid in developing suitable working relationships between other clerical staff.
- Prepare correspondence for grant staff.
- Maintain adequate filing system of grant records.
- Obtain and keep schedules of grant personnel.
- Help with arrangements for special in-services and other meetings.
- Place and receive phone calls on behalf of grant staff.
- Maintain personnel database in conjunction in the Business Office.
- Perform any other duties as directed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Five days per week, 8 hours per day for 12 months per year with terms as described in the "Memorandum of Employment Agreement." Available for meetings outside regular working hours.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Executive Director and/or Designee as per board policy.
