Special Education Paraprofessional

Any of 19 School Districts served by NKESC

Hours Per Day

Per Assignment

QUALIFICATIONS:

•High School Diploma or Higher

•Able to work the scheduled dates of ESY

•Willingness to work with and show respect for students with special needs.

•Able to work independently

•Demonstrated communication skills, patience, and flexibility.

•Ability to maintain confidentiality

•Ability to follow teacher’s plan and direction, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

•Works with individual or small groups of students on specific skills/and or specific assignments.

•Performs health care procedures as specified in the Individual Education Plans of the students.

•Assists students in group or classroom activities.

•Transport students as needed.

*Monitors/supervises students in moving throughout the daily transitions.

•Assists in the implementation of student’s Individual Education Plan.

•Performs other duties as assigned.

SALARY:
